A section built around school and teams
Chess operates inside Stadium Casablanca as a sports section with its own public identity. Its school welcomes every age and level, from people learning the rules to players seeking more advanced instruction.
The club's 2024-25 snapshot showed teams in the Aragón promotion tier, Second Division, First Division, Preferente and División de Honor. That ladder offers a route from regular instruction into team competition without making the elite side the section's only visible purpose.
An identity older than the sponsor
MyInvestor Casablanca is the name used for the team in recent Federación Española de Ajedrez records, but it does not replace the underlying historical identity. Stadium Casablanca Zaragoza was already present in the 1990 Spanish Team Championship.
Two chapters in women's chess
The Federación Aragonesa de Ajedrez credits Stadium Casablanca with the region's first club social tournaments to include women. It names María Angelines Pelegay as the first woman to participate and Conchita Navarro as the first women's social champion.
A separate initiative in 2021 gave women's chess a new place in the section's plans. The agreement that strengthened the senior men's and women's teams also launched Jaque de Dama, a women's school associated with Sabrina Vega.
The climb to División de Honor
The first team won the national Second Division in 2021 and the First Division in 2022, earning a place in División de Honor for 2023. Those consecutive promotions belonged to a section that already maintained a school and teams across the regional structure.
A runner-up finish in the 2024 División de Honor marked the next stage. A 2026 circular from the Federación Española de Ajedrez again included MyInvestor Casablanca in the top division.
