Ciudad de Manises and EVA
The Valencian federation retains Club Ajedrez Ciudad de Manises as the organization's name, while its teams and public channels commonly use EVA Manises. Both names appear within the same local framework: at the 2022 festival, Ciudad de Manises was the organizer and EVA-Manises identified players in the local category.
The EVA Manises identity is presented publicly through Escuela Valenciana de Ajedrez, based in Manises and active since 1995. The competition name makes that teaching tradition visible without displacing the federation name tied to the municipality.
Different age groups, one development thread
In 2010, EVA-Manises won the Spanish Under-16 Club Team Championship. Seven years later it won the Spanish Under-12 Team Cup, and in 2024 it returned to first place nationally as an Under-18 team.
The sequence matters more than any isolated result because the titles belong to different categories and generations. It makes youth development a persistent part of the club's public identity rather than the legacy of one lineup.
From a local festival to the national circuit
The connection with Manises has also taken shape through open tournaments. In January 2017, the club organized the tenth Festival Internacional Ciudad de Manises with municipal sponsorship, placing the town's name at the centre of the event.
The training dimension coexists with senior competition. In August 2026, EVA-Manises finished second in the southern group of the Spanish Club Championship Second Division in Linares, an in-person appearance that shows the project continuing on the national circuit.
