The official Instagram profile presents 논리의 체스 and 대구체스협회 together in one display name. The same account covers chess education and local social play, describing a March 2024 gathering for Daegu players as open to anyone.
From an open meetup to a standard series
In August 2024, the association announced its first standard tournament at Logical Chess Sangin. FIDE also registered a Daegu standard tournament that month.
The format did not stop with one event. FIDE records list a third edition in June 2025, a fourth in October, and a fifth Daegu tournament in December.
The fourth-edition entry form and FIDE record share the same dates, while the form again names Logical Chess Sangin as the venue.
A youth format built around age groups
The August 2025 youth rapid notice set Logical Chess Sangin as the venue and divided entrants into four bands, from U07 through U14-U16. Its five-round, ten-minute Swiss format presented a dedicated youth competition alongside the open meetup and standard series.
