Bilingual preparation for players and parents

The resources page is written for parents and children to use together before competition. It moves from principles and tactics through openings, algebraic notation, basic checkmates, famous games, puzzles and recommended books, while the home page asks beginners to learn core movement, tactics and mating patterns before entering a tournament.

The bilingual rules page explains touch-move and one-hand play and says the events generally follow the FIDE Laws of Chess. Parents are asked to stay with their children without offering outside help and to assist with resetting the boards after games, making tournament rules and etiquette part of the learning routine.

A route from the board to the library

At the end of its online resource list, the club encourages Mullae Library members to use the public desired-book request system to strengthen the neighborhood's chess collection. The library offers that service to registered borrowers, so the club places a public resource alongside its online study materials for families.
