A name in transition
The club began its public activity under the name Ajedrez Sin Límites. During 2025, the combined name Club Bella Vista - Ajedrez sin Límites connected that period with its move into Club Atlético Bella Vista.
Since July 2026, it has competed as Ajedrez Bellavista while continuing the same project.
Two national finals in José Enrique Rodó
Before the name change, Ajedrez Sin Límites shared the organization of the open and women's finals of the 2026 Uruguayan Championship with the federation. Both were played in José Enrique Rodó, Soriano, giving the club an organizing role in the country's two adult national finals at the same time.
The club's documented Montevideo activity in 2026 was also tied to Club Atlético Bella Vista at Avenida Agraciada 3100. In June and July, the venue hosted the first two Moviendo Sueños, Nahiara hacia las Olimpiadas tournaments, organized under the Club de Ajedrez Bella Vista name.
Nahiara Fabra across both identities
Nahiara Fabra transferred from Club Cerro in January 2025. At the 2026 Uruguayan Under-20 Championship, she represented Sin Límites and won the women's category.
That same year, Fabra won the Uruguayan Women's Championship Final with 6 points from 7 games. Her name also led the Moviendo Sueños tournament series, bringing her competitive path into the club's public program during the transition to the Bellavista identity.
