A network of classrooms and local monitors

The program did not wait for every interested player to reach a single venue. In 2008 it took workshops to the Villa Constitución secondary school, an INAU rural home, youth centers in several neighborhoods and student residences; it also opened a course for educators intended to create monitors within each institution.

That approach linked introduction with a competitive goal. In August 2008, the club organized the first Uruguayan Under-20 Championship held in the department, preceded by a Salto qualifier whose top six received municipal support for national entry fees.

Tiro Salto Grande was the host venue, not the club's identity: the closing report referred to the two institutions separately.

From the lesson to the qualifier

In later years, instruction for different age groups and competition reappeared across several host venues. In 2015 the club organized an all-ages, all-categories event at Casa de los Deportes; in 2022 it offered courses for children, teenagers and adults at Club Uruguay; and in 2023 its first rapid Prix combined Under-12 and open sections with qualification for the Salto final.

Nearly two decades after the 2008 Under-20 event, the club again offered an entry point into the national circuit. In January 2026 it organized a Uruguayan Championship quarterfinal at Plaza de Deportes No. 1, and the top three finishers advanced to the semifinals.
