Blindfold simultaneous exhibition

A blindfold simultaneous exhibition combines two challenges. As in a simultaneous exhibition, one person plays several different games at the same time. As in blindfold chess, that person cannot see the positions and must maintain them mentally.

Each board develops independently. The exhibitor receives an opponent's move, identifies which game it belongs to, updates that position in memory, calculates a reply, and announces it before moving to another game. The task is therefore more than remembering move sequences: several changing positions must be kept separate at once.

The term describes an exhibition format, not a new set of piece-movement rules. The normal rules of each game still apply; the extra difficulty comes from playing multiple games without visual access to their positions.
